I began my career in the banking industry, working in a High Street bank for 12 years, working my way through the ranks, experiencing account management, personal banking, and business banking, and finishing with a role as PA to the Business Manager.
This was my first insight into small businesses, seeing their accounts, meeting the owners and discovering the day-to-day pressures and pleasures of running your own business.
From Banking to Bookkeeping
I decided to leave banking and explore a lateral move into bookkeeping, and fell in love with it immediately. I retrained and am AAT qualified and licensed to practice. After working in an accountancy firm for a while I started my own bookkeeping business, now based between Witney and Woodstock.
